Meet the DUO
(Yes, we are both nerds who met in undergraduate, married, & started Periwinkle Environmental)
A long Valentine's Day spent running water samples in the lab at the University of California, Santa Cruz. My husband and business partner (who I met in soils class at Virginia Tech) brought me a reminder of home.
Andria "Andi" Greene, M.S.
Andi is a Gloucester native who returned to the Chesapeake Bay after nearly a decade earning two science degrees. She has experience as a consultant, university lecturer, and is now the department director for the Upper Mattaponi Tribe. Her specialty is water, especially wetlands like those she grew up with in Guinea. Andi makes understanding your water and soils tests easy!
Michael Webb, B.S.
Michael is a Salem native who has been tree obsessed since childhood - searching nurseries for bonsai trees and later earning a degree in urban forestry. He has worked as a climbing arborist, plant healthcare specialist, arborist of Apple Park in Silicon Valley, and as an urban forester for the City of Richmond. Michael manages hives at home and has an interest in pest and disease management.
In 2017 Michael discovered the invasive emerald ash borer on the Virginia Tech campus while working as an arborist for Bartlett Tree Experts in Roanoke.
